Last night….

I had an interesting dream.

I found myself traveling with a familiar pack towards the summit, of what we called: “The greatest waterfall in the world.” It took years of excruciating physical work to get there. We all endured long days with little food and little water…..and yet, we all continued. We were all so dedicated. We all knew where we wanted to be. Non of us complained…

After, what seemed to be years, we finally made it to the top…

I took all my gear off. All of my clothing dropped. I had only one thing in mind…. I had to jump.

We had finally achieved what we all had longed for, for so many years. I heard laughter, we all shared smiles, and the journey was retold.

And yet..
All I could think about was jumping off… It had taken years, but my mind was set. There was no turning back, and after I jumped it would have taken years to get back up… but I didn’t care.

So I walked towards the edge……… laughter turned into screams….. but it was too late now, I jumped.

Exhilarating to say the least.

The fall lasted longer than the trip itself.

The water was cold.

And I began to drown.

The terrifying screams of my crew were faint, and as I slowly sunk, my body was numb.

Screams turned into silence.

I could feel death.

As soon as all my air was gone, I suddenly woke up and gasped.

Crazy, eh?
